At KandiPlaces, our mission is to revolutionize real estate investment in Hua Hin, Thailand, through innovative crowdfunding solutions. We are committed to exploring the acquisition of prime properties in Hua Hin, leveraging the power of crowdfunding to enable profitable investments. By democratizing real estate ownership and rental opportunities, we aim to create sustainable wealth and enhance the investment landscape in one of Thailand's most sought-after destinations. Hua Hin is known today as a great place to retire with easy access to Bangkok, but its central location will soon put Hua Hin in the pathway of commerce. A dual-train track has been completed from Hua Hin to Bangkok, a new highway is being constructed, a speed train will connect Hua Hin to Malaysia with an estimated completion date of 2037, Hua Hin has been designated by the Prime Minister as one of three targets for building a private jet runway, and the Hua Hin airport has MOUs from airlines to add seven international routes direct to Hua Hin.

Why Exist?

Thai banks ceased to provide mortgages for foreigners in 2016. If a non-Thai citizen wants to acquire a condo, for example, they must transfer the full payment amount to a Thai Bank in order to purchase. This creates an enormous barrier even though there is high demand and desire to own a piece of paradise. Interested buyers must consider the desire of owning a condo versus investing that money in stocks, crypto, or other desirable assets. A secondary barrier is many interested foreigners stay in Thailand for 3-6 months at a time, and this must be considered as well. A tertiary barrier is that Thailand does not allow foreigners to own land or a business outright. A Thai Limited company may acquire land or a business, but this requires that Thai nominees own 51% of the limited business which also adds risk. KandiPlaces is exploring ways to fill this financial opportunity by tokenizing a targeted property via a governing smartcontract to raise capital from people all over the world.

The desired result of this exploration is to determine the best way to register and incorporate, form a diverse team with the common goal of providing tremendous value to investors, determine what that value is from rental income to ability to use the property, and to build a community of interest to execute when the study transitions to an actual executable project.
